Overland Light Train in Seville

"Instalaciones Inabensa S.A. will execute the
traction electrical installations between Prado de
San Sebastian and Plaza Nueva
The section, on which there will be four stops, comprises Carlos V Avenue, Don Juan de Austria Square, San Fernando Street, Puerta de Jerez Square, Constitution Avenue, and Plaza Nueva.
Main installations:
1. New 700 meters long 20 kV double-circuit connection between Endesa's Rastro substation and Metrocentro's Coach Shed, to power the new traction substations.
2. Single-circuit 20 kV interconnection between the Coach Shed and Plaza Nueva substations.
3. Tractionsubstation in underground building in Plaza Nueva, with two 1,250 kVA transformer-rectifier units to
power the Prado de San Sebastian-Plaza Nueva catenary.
4. 3.6 kilometers of bearer cable free contact wire catenary.
5. Powering of the four stops on the route by means of a 600 Vac auxiliaryservices system. One of the features of this job could
be the use of square section stainless steel posts that eliminate the
normal catenary bearer bracket sprags, with the catenary resisting by
unsupported flexion from the post. Another feature would be that
no catenary would exist between K.P.0+055 and K.P.0+456, Plaza
Nueva-Archivesof the Indies, so as there would be no interference with the celebration of important events in the city such as the Easter
Week Processions. Mobile plant with autonomous energy
equipment would be utilized. This system will not be operational for
the initial inauguration and operation of the line. "
